Where to work in Amsterdam

Amsterdam surprised me.

In the same way Prague did. In a ‘it was a favourite destination for uni student friends’ way, so my expectations weren’t too high anyway.

But even in the short time I spent there - an afternoon - I could begin to see why it was such a hit for many kinds of traveller. Including nomads and remote lifers.

So here is what I was able to get up to, even in one afternoon - which includes panoramic views of the city, the I Amsterdam sign and where to get tulips. And then for anyone looking to set up their office for an hour or two, here are my suggestions:

Pluk Amsterdam

Before sitting down with your laptop, take a quick little browse of the products and gifts on offer around Pluk - which, if I had more than a tiny handbag to carry things in, I would’ve definitely considered purchasing.

An Instagrammy favourite without being too very obviously Instagrammy, not far from the train station and close to a lot of popular sites, if you’re looking to explore in your lunch break.

I would still happily go back for more coffee and apple pie and a laptop sesh.

Winkel 43

Speaking of coffee apple and pie, these are two things that are a must try in Amsterdam and one of the most talked about places for this is Winkel 43.

A short walk from the train station, by the time I got to it, there was a huge queue forming outside, so be sure to get there early!

Another one that’ll be on the list when I eventually make it back again!

A short, but concise post to get your Amsterdam trip started.

Let me know if you recommend any others!
